GRAND CANYON: A CONSTANTLY CHANGING LANDSCAPE"Then He said, 'Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.' And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord..."
1 Kings 19:11 Grand Canyon. Amazing. Astounding. The greatest canyon in the world. Being this impressive, it comes as no surprise when we find out that it is one of the seven wonders of the world. Is Grand Canyon changing still? What force could possibly change this huge and beautiful landscape? The answer is in deformation, or, the changing of landscapes via faults and plate movement. The Grand canyon is being stretched, or pulled apart, by the moving tectonic plates around it.
